Airbus A340-313X, operated by Swiss International Air Lines as HB-JMB. The aircraft formed part of Swiss' long haul A340 fleet and operated intercontinental services from Zurich to destinations across North America, Asia, Africa, and South America. Powered by four CFM International CFM56-5C engines, the A340-300 offered dependable long range performance and was particularly well suited to extended overwater routes during the era before long range twin-engine aircraft became dominant. HB-JMB received Swiss' updated cabin product during its career and continued serving alongside newer Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A330 aircraft as the airline gradually modernized its long haul fleet.
