Airbus A340-313X, serial number 374, entered service with Singapore Airlines as 9V-SJJ. The aircraft joined Singapore Airlines' long haul fleet in 2001 and operated international services from Singapore to destinations across Europe, Asia, and Australia. Powered by four CFM International CFM56-5C engines, the A340-300 combined intercontinental range with the quiet, comfortable widebody cabin for which the type became known. 9V-SJJ served during the final years of Singapore Airlines' A340-300 operations before the carrier transitioned toward newer Boeing 777s and the longer-range A340-500 for selected routes.
Designed as a wide-bodied, long-haul passenger transport, the A340 was first flown on October 25th, 1991. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
