Boeing 777-39L(ER), operated by Air China as B-2085. The aircraft joined Air China's flagship long haul fleet for high-capacity domestic and intercontinental passenger services. Powered by two General Electric GE90-115B engines, the 777-300ER offers exceptional range, payload capability, and reliability, making it particularly well suited to Air China's longest international routes. B-2085 remains active in 2026 and has recently operated services linking Beijing with San Francisco and Frankfurt, along with other domestic and international destinations. Air China's 777-300ER fleet continues to play a central role in the carrier's long haul network.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
