Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, operated by Xiamen Airlines as B-1566. The aircraft joined Xiamen Airlines' expanding Dreamliner fleet for long haul services connecting Xiamen and other Chinese gateways with destinations across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America. Powered by two General Electric GEnx engines, B-1566 provides excellent range, fuel efficiency, and passenger comfort. The aircraft has carried the distinctive "Welcome to Xiamen" special livery and continues to operate some of Xiamen Airlines' longest routes. In 2026, B-1566 has been used on services including Xiamen-Los Angeles, Sydney, Melbourne, and Tokyo.
