Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serial number 63712, entered service with China Eastern Airlines as B-209N in March 2019. The aircraft joined China Eastern's new-generation widebody fleet for domestic and international services. Powered by two General Electric GEnx engines, the 787-9 combines excellent range and fuel efficiency with the Dreamliner's large windows, lower cabin altitude, and quieter interior. B-209N remains active in 2026 and has recently operated routes connecting Shanghai, Kunming, Beijing, and Bangkok. It forms part of China Eastern's relatively small but important fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
