Airbus A350-941, serial number 168, operated by Azul Brazilian Airlines as PR-AOY after previously serving Hong Kong Airlines as B-LGC. The aircraft joined Azul's long haul fleet as the carrier briefly introduced the A350-900 for international services from Brazil. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines, PR-AOY combined intercontinental range, excellent fuel efficiency, and a modern passenger cabin. Azul later decided to phase out its small A350 fleet, and the aircraft subsequently moved on to another operator. Its career illustrates the active secondhand market for relatively young A350s as airlines adjust fleet plans and long haul strategies.
