Airbus A350-941, serial number 235, entered service with Hong Kong Airlines as B-LGE in August 2018. The title identifying it as an Air Hong Kong aircraft is incorrect; B-LGE actually served Hong Kong Airlines. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines, the aircraft was acquired for the carrier's ambitious long haul expansion. Financial difficulties soon curtailed those plans, and B-LGE was withdrawn from regular passenger service in 2019 before being stored. The aircraft later joined Thai Airways as HS-THS, named 'Kanchanaburi,' and entered service from Bangkok in March 2024, giving the relatively young A350 a new operating career.
