Boeing 777-39L(ER), operated by Air China as B-2047. The aircraft joined Air China's large Boeing 777-300ER fleet for high-capacity domestic and long haul international operations. Powered by two General Electric GE90-115B engines, B-2047 provides the range and payload capability required for demanding intercontinental routes while carrying substantial belly cargo. The aircraft remains active with Air China in 2026 and has recently operated services from Beijing to destinations including Los Angeles, Rome, Moscow, and Urumqi. The 777-300ER continues to serve as one of Air China's most important long distance widebody aircraft.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
