Airbus A350-941, operated by Aeroflot as VQ-BFY. The aircraft joined the Russian flag carrier's new-generation long haul fleet for intercontinental services from Moscow. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, the A350-900 combines excellent range and fuel efficiency with a modern cabin and advanced composite construction. Aeroflot introduced the type in 2020 as part of a major widebody modernization program, using it on important international routes. Following changes to Russian aircraft registration practices after 2022, many foreign-registered aircraft in the country's fleets were re-registered domestically. The title 'VQ-8FY' appears to be a typographical rendering of VQ-BFY.
