Boeing 777-39L(ER), operated by Air China as B-2006. The aircraft joined Air China's flagship long haul fleet for intercontinental services from Beijing to destinations across Europe, North America, and Asia. Powered by two General Electric GE90-115B engines, the 777-300ER combines exceptional range with substantial passenger and cargo capacity. B-2006 is especially recognizable for carrying Air China's colorful "Love China" special livery. The aircraft remains active in 2026 and continues to operate demanding long haul routes, including services between Beijing and Frankfurt, as well as high-capacity domestic flights.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
