Airbus A321-231, serial number 6734, entered service with TransAsia Airways as B-22612 in August 2015. One of the newest aircraft in the carrier's fleet, it was configured for high-density passenger service and powered by two International Aero Engines V2500 turbofans. B-22612 operated domestic and regional international routes from Taiwan until TransAsia abruptly ceased operations in November 2016. Its career in Taiwan was therefore unusually brief. The aircraft subsequently joined S7 Airlines as VQ-BDB and later moved to Mexican low-cost carrier Viva Aerobus as XA-VCC, where it continues to demonstrate the durability and versatility of the Airbus A321 family.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
