Fokker F27 Friendship, registered D-BARI, flew for Condor as part of the German charter airline's early fleet of turboprop aircraft, a notably different chapter from Condor's later identity as a dedicated leisure and long-haul carrier. Condor's early operations included a broader mix of aircraft types supporting various charter and scheduled services before the airline consolidated around its now-familiar fleet of narrowbody and widebody jets for European vacation travel. As part of this historic fleet, D-BARI supported Condor's early operational years during the airline's formative period in German commercial aviation.
Designed as a pressurized, turboprop medium-range airliner, the F27 was first flown on November 24th, 1955. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
