Fokker F27 Friendship, registered 9V-BCT, flew for Malaysian Singapore Airlines (MSA) as part of the joint Malaysian-Singaporean carrier's fleet of turboprop aircraft supporting regional routes across the Malay Peninsula and Southeast Asia before MSA's 1972 split into the separate national carriers Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines. As part of this shared historic fleet, 9V-BCT supported MSA's regional network during the airline's joint operational period, representing an important chapter before Singapore and Malaysia each developed their own distinct national airline identities, with Singapore Airlines eventually inheriting this Singapore-registered aircraft's operational legacy.
Designed as a pressurized, turboprop medium-range airliner, the F27 was first flown on November 24th, 1955. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
