Fokker F27 Friendship, registered 9M-AOX, flew for Malaysian Singapore Airlines (MSA) as part of the joint Malaysian-Singaporean carrier's fleet of turboprop aircraft supporting regional routes across the Malay Peninsula and Southeast Asia before MSA's 1972 split into the separate national carriers Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines. As part of this shared historic fleet, 9M-AOX supported MSA's regional network during the airline's joint operational period, representing an important chapter before Malaysia and Singapore each developed their own distinct national airline identities.
