Fokker F27 Friendship, registered CP-2165, flew for LAB (Lloyd Aereo Boliviano) as part of the Bolivian flag carrier's fleet of turboprop aircraft supporting domestic routes across Bolivia's demanding high-altitude Andean terrain. LAB, one of the oldest continuously operating airlines in the Americas, relied on rugged aircraft like the F27 to serve Bolivia's challenging geography, including some of the highest-altitude airports in the world. As part of this fleet, CP-2165 supported LAB's essential role connecting Bolivian cities across the country's mountainous interior before the airline's eventual financial difficulties and reduced operations in the 2000s.
