Boeing 747-2B5B, registered G-BDXF, flew for European Air Charter as part of the British charter carrier's fleet of 747-200s supporting long-haul leisure and charter operations. European Air Charter operated widebody aircraft to support high-capacity charter routes connecting the UK to popular long-haul holiday destinations, a common business model among European charter operators seeking to move large volumes of leisure travelers economically. As part of this fleet, G-BDXF supported European Air Charter's long-haul charter operations during the carrier's years of service in the competitive European leisure travel market.
