Boeing 707-321C, registered AP-AWD, flew for Pakistan International Airlines Cargo as part of the flag carrier's fleet of converted 707 freighters supporting international cargo operations connecting Karachi to Middle Eastern, European, and Asian logistics markets. PIA built a significant early cargo operation around converted 707s, complementing the airline's passenger network during the 1970s and 1980s. As part of this fleet, AP-AWD supported PIA Cargo's role in Pakistani international trade and logistics during an era when converted first-generation jets played a major role in global air freight before purpose-built freighters became more widespread.

Designed as the first American turbine-engined airliner, the 707 was first flown on July 15th, 1954.
