1:400 Scale   Length   Width
Douglas DC-8-55   4.5"   4.25"

McDonnell Douglas DC-8-55, registered C-GNDF, flew for Nordair as part of the Quebec-based Canadian carrier's fleet of DC-8s supporting longer-range domestic and international charter operations. Nordair built its business around both scheduled service to remote northern Canadian communities and international transatlantic charter and freight contracts, using the DC-8 for its longer-range capacity needs. As part of this fleet, C-GNDF supported Nordair's charter operations before the airline's 1987 absorption into Canadian Airlines International, following Canadian Pacific Air Lines' acquisition of Nordair and the broader consolidation of the Canadian airline industry that year.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Douglas DC-8-55

Designed to compete with the Boeing 707, the DC-8 was first flown on May 30th, 1958.
