The BAC One-Eleven was a British short-haul jet airliner operated by Gulf Air, the multi-national Gulf carrier jointly owned by Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Oman, and Qatar, as part of the airline's early fleet supporting regional Middle Eastern routes connecting the Gulf states before the carrier's transition to widebody aircraft for its expanding international network. Gulf Air's early adoption of British aircraft technology reflected the region's aviation ties during the airline's formative years. As part of this historic fleet, the One-Eleven supported Gulf Air's regional connectivity during the carrier's early decades of operation.
