Bristol Britannia Diecast Model
Globe Air, HB-ITC

Limited Edition

1:400 Scale   Length   Width
Bristol Britannia   3.75"   4.25"

Bristol Britannia, registered HB-ITC, flew for Globe Air, a Swiss charter airline that operated the British-built turboprop airliner during the 1960s supporting charter routes from Switzerland to various European and long-haul destinations. The Britannia, known for its smooth, quiet ride that earned it the nickname "The Whispering Giant," was popular among charter operators for its range and passenger comfort during the transition period between piston and pure jet aircraft. As part of Globe Air's fleet, HB-ITC supported the carrier's charter operations before the airline's eventual closure following a fatal 1966 accident involving another Britannia.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Bristol Britannia

Designed to meet a BOAC requirement for a medium-range civil transport, the 175 was first flown on August 16th, 1952.
