Boeing 707-320C, registered 4X-ATX, was El Al Israel Airlines' first convertible passenger/cargo 707, acquired on May 15, 1969, providing the carrier with flexible capacity that could be configured for either passenger or cargo operations depending on demand. As part of El Al's growing 707 fleet during this period of international expansion, the convertible variant supported both the airline's scheduled passenger network and its cargo operations connecting Israel to destinations across Europe, Africa, and North America. As part of this historic fleet, 4X-ATX represented an important operational flexibility upgrade for El Al during the late 1960s.

Designed as the first American turbine-engined airliner, the 707 was first flown on July 15th, 1954.
