Boeing 707-458, registered 4X-ATS, flew for El Al Israel Airlines as part of the carrier's fleet of 707s supporting long-haul international routes connecting Israel to Europe, Africa, and North America during the 1960s and 1970s. El Al built its long-haul network around the 707 before the 1971 introduction of the 747 enabled longer nonstop routes including direct Tel Aviv-New York service. As part of this historic fleet, 4X-ATS supported El Al's international expansion during a critical period for the Israeli flag carrier's growth into a major long-haul operator.

Designed as the first American turbine-engined airliner, the 707 was first flown on July 15th, 1954.
