Hawker Siddeley HS 748, registered D-AHSA, flew for DLT (Deutsche Luftverkehrsgesellschaft), a German regional carrier that later became Lufthansa CityLine, as part of the airline's fleet of British-built turboprop regional aircraft supporting short-haul German domestic routes. DLT built its regional network using the rugged HS 748 to connect smaller German cities to Lufthansa's mainline hub network before the airline's eventual full integration into the Lufthansa Group as its dedicated regional subsidiary. As part of this historic fleet, D-AHSA supported DLT's essential feeder role within the German aviation system.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed originally by Avro as a turbo-prop powered replacement for the DC-3, the 748 was first flown on June 24th, 1960. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
