The BAC One-Eleven was a British short-haul jet airliner operated by Cambrian Airways, the Welsh regional carrier that served routes connecting Wales and western England to other UK destinations and nearby European cities. Cambrian Airways operated as an independent regional airline before being absorbed into British Airways following the 1974 merger that created the unified national carrier from BOAC, BEA, and several smaller regional airlines including Cambrian. As part of Cambrian's fleet, the One-Eleven supported the airline's short-haul network during the carrier's years of independent operation before absorption into British Airways.
