AeroClassics 1:400 Series ACBBB077
Douglas DC-6 Diecast Model
Balair, HB-IBS

Limited Edition

1:400 Scale   Length   Width
Douglas DC-6   3.25"   3.5"

Douglas DC-6, registered HB-IBS, flew for Balair, the Swiss charter airline affiliated with Swissair, as part of the carrier's early fleet of piston-engine aircraft supporting charter operations from Switzerland. Balair operated as Swissair's charter subsidiary for decades, providing leisure and ad hoc charter capacity that complemented Swissair's scheduled international network. As part of this historic fleet, HB-IBS supported Balair's early charter operations during the piston era before the airline transitioned to jet aircraft, continuing its role within the broader Swissair group structure for many subsequent decades.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Douglas DC-6

Designed to meet a USAAF requirement for a larger-capacity transport than the C-54 (DC-4), the Douglas DC-6 was first flown on June 29th, 1946.
