Boeing 707-321C, registered G-ASZF, flew for British Airways Cargo as part of the carrier's fleet of converted 707 freighters supporting international cargo operations. British Airways, formed in 1974 through the merger of BOAC and BEA, inherited a substantial 707 fleet from its predecessor BOAC, with several aircraft converted to dedicated freighter configuration to support cargo operations alongside the airline's passenger network. As part of this fleet, G-ASZF supported British Airways Cargo's early international freight operations during the carrier's formative years as Britain's newly unified flag carrier.

Designed as the first American turbine-engined airliner, the 707 was first flown on July 15th, 1954.
