Sud Aviation Caravelle III, registered PH-TRO, was operated by Transavia Airlines during the 1960s and early 1970s as part of the carrier's early jet fleet. Based at Amsterdam Schiphol, the aircraft served charter and scheduled routes to popular holiday destinations across Southern Europe and the Mediterranean. Powered by Rolls Royce Avon turbojet engines mounted at the rear fuselage, the Caravelle provided smooth performance and improved cabin comfort compared with earlier piston airliners. PH-TRO wore Transavia's early green and white livery, reflecting the airline's emerging identity. The aircraft helped establish Transavia as a growing Dutch leisure carrier before being replaced by more modern jet types.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
