McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30, construction number 46915, was delivered to CP Air as C-GCPC in the mid 1970s to support the airline's expanding long haul network. The aircraft operated transpacific and transatlantic routes from Vancouver to destinations such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, and London, offering significantly greater capacity and range than earlier narrowbody jets. C-GCPC wore CP Air's bold orange livery, making it one of the most recognizable aircraft in Canada at the time. Configured with a multi class cabin, the DC-10-30 provided improved passenger comfort and cargo capability. After the creation of Canadian Airlines International in 1987, C-GCPC continued service before eventual retirement as newer widebody aircraft replaced the DC-10 fleet.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed to meet an American Airlines requirement for a wide-bodied transport, the DC-10 was first flown on August 29th, 1970. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
