Boeing 707-321F, was registered as CC-CYA with Ladeco Cargo, the freight division of the Chilean carrier named for the country's copper mining industry, though the manufacturer serial number for this specific airframe is not confirmed in available public records. CC-CYA supported Ladeco Cargo's international freight operations connecting Chile to logistics markets across the Americas before the airline's 1995 acquisition by rival LAN Chile. Ladeco's cargo division played an important role supporting Chile's export-oriented economy during the 1980s and early 1990s, moving fresh produce, seafood, and other perishable Chilean exports to North American markets during a period when the country's agricultural export sector was rapidly expanding onto the global stage.
