Fokker F27 Friendship, registered ZK-BXC, flew for New Zealand National Airways Corporation (NAC) as part of the state-owned domestic carrier's fleet of turboprop aircraft supporting regional New Zealand routes before NAC's 1978 merger with Air New Zealand to form the unified national carrier. NAC operated the F27 extensively across New Zealand's domestic network, connecting smaller cities and regional centers throughout both the North and South Islands. As part of this historic fleet, ZK-BXC supported NAC's essential role in New Zealand domestic aviation prior to the airline's absorption into Air New Zealand.
Designed as a pressurized, turboprop medium-range airliner, the F27 was first flown on November 24th, 1955. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
