Nordair, C-GNDA

Limited Edition

1:200 Scale   Length   Width
Douglas DC-8-61   11.25"   9"

McDonnell Douglas DC-8-61, registered C-GNDA, serial number 45902, was delivered new to Trans International Airlines as N8961T in 1967 before later joining Nordair's fleet under its Canadian registration. Nordair operated the stretched DC-8-61 to support longer-range and higher-capacity routes complementing the airline's shorter-haul FH-227 turboprop network across northern Canada. As part of this fleet, C-GNDA supported Nordair's expansion into longer domestic and international charter routes before the airline's eventual 1987 merger into Canadian Airlines International, which absorbed Nordair's fleet and route network.

Douglas DC-8-61

Designed to compete with the Boeing 707, the DC-8 was first flown on May 30th, 1958.
