Fairchild Hiller FH-227   5"   5.75"

Fairchild Hiller FH-227, registered C-GNDH, flew for Nordair as part of the Canadian regional carrier's fleet of turboprop aircraft supporting routes across northern Quebec and other remote Canadian regions. Nordair specialized in serving communities in Canada's north that larger carriers could not economically reach, using the FH-227's rugged capabilities to connect isolated northern settlements to the broader Canadian air transportation network. As part of this fleet, C-GNDH supported Nordair's essential role in northern Canadian aviation before the airline's eventual 1987 merger into Canadian Airlines International.

Designed as a pressurized, turboprop medium-range airliner, the F27 was first flown on November 24th, 1955.
