Fairchild Hiller FH-227   5"   5.75"

Fairchild Hiller FH-227, registered C-GNDI, flew for Canadian Airlines as part of the carrier's fleet of turboprop regional aircraft supporting shorter domestic Canadian routes. The FH-227, an American-built derivative of the Fokker F27 manufactured under license by Fairchild Hiller, saw service with several Canadian regional operators before their eventual absorption into Canadian Airlines International through the mergers that consolidated Canada's regional aviation sector during the 1980s. As part of this fleet, C-GNDI supported Canadian's regional network before the type's eventual retirement in favor of more modern regional aircraft.

Designed as a pressurized, turboprop medium-range airliner, the F27 was first flown on November 24th, 1955.
