Boeing 720-068B, registered HZ-ACA, flew for Saudia (Saudi Arabian Airlines) as part of the Saudi flag carrier's early fleet of jet aircraft supporting regional Middle Eastern routes and international connections from Jeddah and Riyadh. As one of the carrier's original 720Bs from its early jet age fleet, HZ-ACA supported Saudia's expansion during a formative period for Saudi Arabian civil aviation, before the airline grew into one of the largest carriers in the Middle East, eventually operating substantial fleets of 747s, 777s, and 787s on its long-haul international network.
Designed as the first American turbine-engined airliner, the 707 was first flown on July 15th, 1954.
