Boeing 720-068B, registered HZ-ACB, flew for Saudair (later renamed Saudi Arabian Airways and then Saudia) as part of the Saudi flag carrier's early fleet of jet aircraft supporting regional Middle Eastern routes and international connections from Jeddah and Riyadh. The airline underwent several name changes during this period as it modernized from a smaller regional carrier into the Gulf's leading airline. As part of this historic fleet, HZ-ACB supported the carrier's early jet age expansion before the airline's eventual growth into one of the largest carriers in the Middle East.
Designed as the first American turbine-engined airliner, the 707 was first flown on July 15th, 1954. The aicraft was designed from the start as a commercial airliner and military transport/refuelling platform and various models rolled off the production lines for 25 years. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
