Airbus A310-304, registered CS-TGO, flew for SATA International, the Azorean carrier based in Portugal's Azores Islands, as part of the airline's fleet of A310s supporting long-haul routes connecting the Azores to North America and mainland Portugal. SATA International, the international long-haul arm of the SATA Group, has historically relied on the A310's transatlantic range to maintain vital air links between the remote Azorean archipelago and Portuguese emigrant communities in the United States and Canada. As part of this fleet, CS-TGO supported SATA's essential role connecting the islands to the wider world.
