Boeing 707-320F, registered N2215Y, flew for HeavyLift Cargo Airlines as part of the British cargo carrier's fleet of converted 707 freighters supporting charter and contract cargo operations. HeavyLift specialized in oversized and outsized cargo transport, building a niche business around aircraft capable of carrying unusual or oversized freight for industrial, humanitarian, and military customers. As part of this fleet, N2215Y supported HeavyLift's role in the specialized outsized cargo charter market, an important niche within the broader air freight industry that larger scheduled cargo carriers often could not efficiently serve.
