McDonnell Douglas DC-8-32, registered N831F, flew for Overseas National Airways (ONA), an American supplemental air carrier founded in 1950 that grew significantly during the 1960s supporting military charter contracts during the Vietnam War era before facing a 1964 Chapter 11 bankruptcy from which it emerged with financing to expand its DC-8 and DC-9 fleets. ONA operated both passenger and cargo charter services from its New York base until the airline's closure in September 1978. As part of this historic fleet, N831F supported ONA's role in the once-thriving American supplemental charter airline industry.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
