The German Army Aviation Corps is a special unit within the German Armed Forces, containing all its helicopter units. Army Aviation Regiment 36 was formed in October 1979 at Fritzlar Airbase, flying the MBB Bo 105. In 2003 transformed into Attack Helicopter Regiment 36 (KHR 36) and was designated the first operator of the Eurocopter Tiger.
